William Brent Bell is an American film director, screenwriter, and producer whose horror films have grossed over $300 million worldwide. He made his feature debut with Stay Alive (2006), followed by The Devil Inside (2012), which earned over $100 million worldwide against a production budget of under $1 million. Bell went on to direct The Boy (2016), Orphan: First Kill (2022), and Lord of Misrule (2023). He is in post-production on Orphans, the third installment of the Orphan franchise for Lionsgate and Dark Castle Entertainment. He is based in Los Angeles.
