Biography

Emmy-nominated Martha Bolton was Bob Hope's first female staff writer and, along with Linda Hope, wrote the top selling Dear Bob... Bob Hope's Wartime Correspondence with the G.I.s of WW2 (University Press of Mississippi, 2021). The highly acclaimed book was named Christian Market Book of the Year (2021) and Golden Scroll Memoir of the Year (2021). It also won the 2022 Selah Awards for Memoir and the Grand Prize in the Chanticleer International Book Awards for Military and Front Line. Martha wrote for Bob Hope for approximately fifteen years and is the prolific author of 88 books of humor and inspiration. She has also received nominations for a WGA Award, and a Dove award, and is the playwright for Blue Gate Musicals with 14 musicals playing in four states.
