Emmy nominated and award winning composer and singer/songwriter Kathryn Bostic is known for her work on film, TV, theater, and symphonic music. She is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, The Television Academy, The Recording Academy and The Society of Composers and Lyricists. Kathryn is a recipient of numerous fellowships and awards including the prestigious Hollywood Music in Media Award, SCL Outstanding Music in Original Score for Independent Film, African American Film Critics Award for Best Music, Time Warner-Sundance Fellowship, Sundance Fellowship for Feature Film Scoring, and BMI Streaming Media Award. Her end title song and performance of "High Above the Water" from award winning film "Toni Morrison-The Pieces I Am" was Oscar shortlisted.
