Songwriter ("Tip Toe Through the Tulips", "Moon Over Miami", "Rambling Rose"), actor, composer and pianist, educated at the University of Pennsylvania. He then joined the staff of a New York publishing firm, and in 1929 he went to Hollywood. Joining ASCAP in 1920, he collaborated musically with Al Dubin, Edgar Leslie, Benny Davis, Mark Fisher, Marty Simes, and Charles Tobias.
