Kirk Caouette is a multi-disciplinary artist in the Canadian Film/TV industry, with multiple awards and nominations in Acting, Directing, Stunt Performing, and Music Composition. He stands out as the only member of UBCP/ACTRA nominated for both Best Stunt Performance and Best Lead Actor in a feature film (both in the same year).
He has been lead stunt double or stunt coordinator on several tentpole features with a global box office of over 2 billion dollars. Known best for his dynamic contributions in the development of superhero wirework, his work as the Nightcrawler stunt double on the X-Men franchise is widely regarded as groundbreaking.
In 2025 Kirk turned his focus to TV writing and development. His original series PARA - a psychological drama - is currently in development with a major Hollywood studio showrunner. Post production has just been completed on his latest pilot THIRSTY - a mockumentary that takes place behind the scenes of a dysfunctional vampire series.
Kirk is a terminal cancer survivor. In 2018 UBCP/ACTRA presented him with the Sam Payne Humanity and Integrity Award for his years of volunteer work during his recovery; running free classes for union actors and stunt performers while raising substantial funds for female-led humanitarian projects globally.
