Kostas Karagiorgis was a Greek leading man and actor known for his work in film, theatre, and television. A graduate of Panteion University and the National Conservatory Drama School, he also studied piano. He made his stage debut in 1960 and went on to appear in numerous theatrical productions, films, and popular TV series. He gained wide recognition for his portrayal of Captain Hector Psachos of the Greek Army in
Nikos Foskolos's acclaimed series
Agnostos polemos (1971). His television credits also include

To kanali ton paranomon (1989). He was married to dancer Stella Livaniou. Karagiorgis died suddenly in Toronto in 1989 while on tour with actor
Nikos Papanastasiou. His son,
Nikos Karagiorgis, is also an actor and was elected president of the Hellenic Actors' Union in May 2024.
