Biography

D.C. Douglas is an award-winning character actor and voice artist whose career spans nearly four decades across television, film, theater, and interactive entertainment. His distinctive voice and character work have earned him particular recognition in the gaming and anime communities.

In television, Douglas has crafted a solid career with over 50 guest-starring and recurring roles on network shows including Boston Common (1996), The Bold and the Beautiful (1987), Z Nation (2014), and CSI: Vegas (2021). His film work showcases his range in both mainstream and independent productions, with notable roles in Sharknado 2: The Second One (2014), Black Ops (2008), Aquarium of the Dead (2021), and Isle of the Dead (2016). Douglas has become especially renowned in the video game industry, where he's brought several iconic characters to life. He's particularly celebrated for his portrayal of Albert Wesker in the "Resident Evil" franchise (2007-2019), Legion in the Mass Effect: Legendary Edition (2021) trilogy, and more recently, Rayvis in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (2023). His performance as Kamoshida in Persona 5 (2016) further demonstrates his ability to create compelling antagonists.

In the anime world, Douglas has developed a dedicated following through his performances as Yoshikage Kira in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (2012), Wooden Sword Ryu in Shaman King (2021), and Praetorian in Super Crooks (2021). His voice work extends to Western animation, including roles in Transformers: Rescue Bots (2011) and Regular Show (2010).

His commercial voice-over work includes major campaigns for national brands, notably as the voice of Geico's "Real Person" series (2005-2008), Ashley Furniture Homestore (2003-2006), and Experian (2016-2018), where he worked alongside SpongeBob SquarePants (1999)'s Tom Kenny.

Douglas's theatrical roots run deep, beginning in Berkeley, California, where he performed extensively throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. His grandmother, Grace Hathaway, whose background spanned circus, vaudeville, and burlesque, influenced his path to entertainment. After relocating to Los Angeles, he refined his craft at the Estelle Harman Actor's Workshop (1985-1989) and became an influential member of the New One-Act Theatre Ensemble (Theatre of NOTE) from 1989 to 1993.

As a creator, Douglas has written and directed several acclaimed short films, including the award-winning The Crooked Eye (2009), which starred Academy Award winner Linda Hunt. He later channeled his creative energy into political satire, producing viral videos addressing social issues and creating the series Breaking News: Fake Trump Cartoons! (2017), which featured collaborations with noted voice actors Jason Marsden, Maurice LaMarche, Steve Blum, and Robbie Daymond.

His engagement with fans has made him a popular guest at conventions across the globe, including events in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and the Middle East. These appearances have helped solidify his position as a respected figure in the voice acting community.
