Laurie Fortier got her big break acting when legendary Hollywood casting director Lynn Stalmaster (Tootsie, The Graduate) cast her in "To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday", opposite Michelle Pfeiffer, Peter Gallagher, and Claire Danes. She has been working professionally ever since and has worked with passed Hollywood legends including James Gandolfini, Martin Landau, and James Caan to name only a few. Laurie most recently played Agatha in the last season of AMC's The Walking Dead, where she starred as the leader of a new tribe. She starred opposite Josh Duhamel in the USA network series, Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G and was thrilled to work with Emmy award-winning director, Anthony Hemingway.
Laurie has starred in numerous movies made for Lifetime Television, including, "Into the Arms of Danger" alongside Cathy Moriarty and most recently "Taken In Montana", part of the network's True-Crime series.
With a wide breadth of success in TV & Film, Laurie most recently guest starred opposite Angela Bassett in 9-1-1 for Fox Television and DC's Swamp Thing for CW. She has been in: every version of CSI (multiple times), Hawaii Five-O, Castle, Rush, Stalker, and 2 seasons of the Netflix original series "Hemlock Grove" opposite Bill Skarsgard and Famke Jansen.
Laurie is a mother, yogi and athlete. She is thrilled that in her career she has been offered to play a variety of prime time roles: mothers, a warrior, a male con artist (yes male), maniacs, the girl next door, high powered attorneys, cops, perps, athletes and devilish villains. From "kindhearted heroines" to the "evil monster", Fortier has been blessed with the gift of true versatility.
