BJ Harrison

BJ was born and raised in Los Angeles California where her early involvement in the arts included music and painting. Her film career began when she was approached by a casting director after moving to Vancouver, Canada with her husband and their children. She enrolled in a two year intensive program at Gastown Actors Studio in Vancouver while actively booking work, and has continued honing her craft over the years through study, classes, and workshops.

With well over 100 film and TV credits to her name, BJ's most recent work in the Netflix limited series Maid (2021) stands out, with the series having received multiple Golden Globes and Critics Choice Award nominations, and named one of the AFI Awards' 'Top Programs' of the year. BJ's other notable credits include Netflix's A Series of Unfortunate Events (2017) and Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018), Showtime's award-winning series Yellowjackets (2021), blockbuster films like Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) and Tooth Fairy (2010) (starring Dwayne Johnson), and numerous Hallmark Channel films.

In early 2021, BJ was recognized by UBCP/ACTRA as one the 'industry pioneers', and was also featured in ACTRA Magazine in their Spring 2021 issue, discussing what it means to be a woman of a certain age in the industry. When not in front of the camera BJ enjoys spending time with her family, and finds time to indulge herself in painting.
