Born and raised in "SPAM Town USA". Larry headed to Los Angeles around 1964 to study art at the Chouinard Art Institute, (CalArts) in which he graduated from in 1968 with a BFA Degree in Cinemagrophics. Afterward, He went to work a year later as an assistant animator for Hanna-Barbera before doing work for Chuck Jones' The Curiosity Shop, DePatie-Freleng, Ralph Bakshi, and Ruby-Spears before heading back to H-B on a permanent basis in the early 90's as a producer. There, he got hired by Buzz Potamkin and helped Fred Seibert out with his "What a Cartoon!" program and ended up meeting another producer, Bill Burnett. Eventually, Fred moved to Nickelodeon to start out another program, "Oh Yeah Cartoons!", Bill & Larry went with him, and together, they developed a cartoon called ChalkZone, said cartoon shorts evolving into a series that ran for four seasons on Nickelodeon during the 2000's, Larry coming up with the idea of a boy with magic chalk and Bill coming up with the idea of the titular ChalkZone. After production wrapped up, Larry formed his own studio, Animation Works, Inc. (Danger Rangers). When that ended, Larry still done some work for Nickelodeon, this time, helping out Fred Seibert thricely with "Random Cartoons!" before going into semi-retirement sometime after the 2010's
