Axel Jepsen

Axel Jepsen's first job in the Danish film industry was as a handy man at the Palladium production company. He advanced to the position of producer before becoming a production leader (1958) and the general manager (1970) of Statens Filmcentral which was an important public production and distribution unit until it was regrouped with other entities into Det Danske Filminstitut in 1997. Jepsen continued to work as a consultant for the company from 1989 to 1991 and was also a board member of the European Film School in Ebeltoft, Denmark, for a few years.
