Gary was born in Framingham, Massachusetts, the youngest of three
brothers. As a competitive swimmer and diver through his early
teens, he won the Massachusetts Bay State championship for 1-meter diving. After graduating from high school, Gary
went to Johnson & Wales to study culinary arts, and then on to Emerson College, Boston, MA. While in college, he worked as a lighting
designer for local rock bands including 'til Tuesday and The Fools.
After graduation, Gary moved to Los Angeles to pursue acting and screenwriting.
His writing credits include the stage plays Crossroads: Bar & Grill, Love Sex & Massachusetts, and the critically acclaimed Happy Christmas Merry Chanukah.
His feature screenplays include Crispy Crackers & Beans and the award-winning screenplay Somewhere to Run.
His award-winning short films include Diamond Confidential, Just Three Words, Reason, and It Happened One Night.
His TV writing credits include the pilots 1-11 South Street, Rosarito Weekend, and Hope and Crosby.
