Yannis Kokiasmenos

Yannis Kokiassmenos is a Greek actor, horse riding instructor, and musician known for his intense and unconventional screen presence. He gained wide recognition for his leading role in the film Strella (2009), directed by Panos H. Koutras, where he portrayed a father involved in one of the most daring stories of contemporary Greek cinema. He has also appeared in films such as Ena tragoudi de ftanei (2003), O Annivas pro ton pylon (2011), and Mikri Arktos (2015), collaborating with notable Greek filmmakers including Elissavet Chronopoulou. Selective in his stage work and rarely appearing on television, he has built a career defined by strong character roles. Alongside acting, he works professionally as a riding instructor and performs American folk and honky-tonk music as a member of the band Muddy Trail, reflecting his longstanding passion for horses and Western culture.
