Rob Loos is President of zing productions inc., a Hollywood-based,
television and film production company that believes the only projects
worth doing are those that "have a little zing." Loos writes, produces,
and directs with energy, humor, and focus: "I have an insatiable desire
to see projects get made -- zing gives me the freedom to work with
other talented people, companies, studios, and distributors, to create
and shape the best material in a wide range of areas - everything from
features to TV series, animation to reality, webisodes to stage plays -
it's never boring when you have zing!"
Loos earned his stripes as a partner at TLC Entertainment an
independent production and distribution company based at CBS Studio
Center. Loos and business partner, George Taweel, won 113 awards for
creative excellence, notched over 70 Gold and Platinum selling
DVDs/videos, and produced over 200 hours worth of programs. Loos
started his career as Development Exec where he helped package, sell,
and oversee 15 specials, 6 series, 3 pilots, and 2 movies.
Loos was named as a Screenwriter in Residence at the New Harmony
Project (2008), he was selected for The Writers' Gathering: Jerusalem
(2007), and was named a Knight Fellow (2001) by Western Reserve Academy
(his high school alma mater).
Loos is a proud alumnus of the Radio/TV/Film program of Northwestern
University in Evanston, IL, and likes to think of himself as not too
bad of a tennis player.
