Peggy Lu is a bilingual actor (Mandarin/English) best known as the unforgettable Mrs. Chen in Sony’s Venom trilogy and in the Oscar nominated Spider Man: Across the Spider Verse. Her television work includes acclaimed series such as NCIS, Superstore, Better Things, and The Sex Lives of College Girls.
Peggy discovered acting in college, later earning her Ph.D. in pharmacy at her parents’ urging for stability and financial freedom. She moved to New York to pursue the craft while working as a hospice pharmacist, carrying forward the grit and sacrifice of her immigrant parents.
Outside of acting, Peggy is an amateur carpenter and DIY enthusiast; a passion that began 18 years ago after rescuing two shelter dogs and building her first dog gates with power tools she bought on sale. She now focuses on making and upcycling furniture.
