Elli Maclure began her professional acting career in 1969 starring in a US television pilot for Screen Gems, acted lead and supporting roles in feature films, television and theater; starring in series, numerous guest appearances and pilots in her native Australia, Europe, USA. Worked with directors - John Cassavetes, Peter Bogdanovich, Francis Ford Coppola, Mike Robe, Peter Weir, Simon Wincer, George Miller, Tim Burstall, and with actors Gena Rowlands, in an Italian feature with Alberto Sordi and Claudia Cardinale, and a Spanish feature with Antonio Ferrandis.
In 1991, working under her birth name Christine McClure, her acting extended into coaching professional actors, pre-teen to adults, in Los Angeles, where her students have been nominated for an Oscar, Daytime Emmy, and won multiple Young Artists Awards; booked lead and supporting roles in feature films, television, and soaps. Working with such directors as Sofia Coppola, Stanley Kubrick, Nancy Meyers, Tony Scott, Steven Soderberg, Robert Zemeckis, The Coen Brothers...
Taught at the Los Angeles Film School, and the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute, Los Angeles.
