Jo was born in Chicago and grew up in Colorado. After graduating from Sonoma State University with a degree in Communications, she started her acting career in San Francisco. She is a speaking coach with 333-communications.com, and an improv innovator at westcoastschoolofimprov. Her book, Going Long: The Art of Longform Improvisation for Stage & Screen was published by Applause Books. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, Stephen Kearin.
