Conci Nelson

Conci Nelson is an American Filmmaker, actress, writer, and make-up artist born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She first appeared on the daytime serial, The Young and the Restless, as Betsy Sanderson in 1986 for a total of 30 episodes. She returned to the serial a few years after her exit as Sanderson to return as Heather Lynch in the mid-90s. In late 90s, Nelson explored her acting career in live theatre while focusing on her education and studying abroad in Madrid, Spain. From 2000-2004, Nelson attained a BS from the School of Communication with double majors in Theatre and English: Creative Writing - Poetry. In 2011, Nelson moved to Los Angeles, where she worked in the production offices of the daytime serials The Young and the Restless and The Bold and the Beautiful. She later broke off into independent filmmaking with Letter Blue Productions while serving as a producer, actress, and writer for Park City, Act Super Naturally, and multiple music videos. In 2019, Nelson relocated to Springfield, Missouri to attain her MFA in Dramatic Writing from Missouri State University, where she continues to write, produce, direct, act and serve as a hair and make-up designer for multiple projects. She currently (September 2022) works for Missouri State University as a per course instructor for the Department of Media, Journalism, and Film.
