Noda was born on November 19, 1893 and died at age 74 on September 23, 1968. He co-wrote some of Yasujiro's most famous films, for example: Tokyo Story (1953), Late Spring (1949), An Autumn Afternoon (1962), Late Autumn (1960), and Early Summer (1951).
