Marilyn Norry is a Canadian actress, writer, and digital creator known for her extensive work in film, television, and theatre. She has appeared in notable productions such as The L Word, Flight 93, Stargate SG-1, Beyond the Black Rainbow (2010), Little Women (1994), and Jennifer's Body (2009). Norry's career spans a wide range of roles across Canadian and international projects, reflecting her versatility and sustained presence in the entertainment industry.

Norry graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre and began her acting career in Toronto before relocating to Vancouver in 1987. On stage, she has portrayed complex characters including Heidi Holland in Wendy Wasserstein's The Heidi Chronicles and Hagar Shipley in the adaptation of Margaret Laurence's novel The Stone Angel. Alongside acting, she has contributed as a writer, dramaturg, director, and teacher, engaging deeply with the creative process behind theatrical and screen productions. She has also been involved in story editing for television and has served as president of Workshops in the Performing Arts, a nonprofit organization dedicated to master classes with international acting teachers.

Beyond her artistic work, Norry is recognized for founding the My Mother's Story project, an initiative that encourages people to document and share the lives of their mothers to preserve women's history. This project has grown into a significant cultural movement involving workshops, anthologies, and performances, highlighting the often-overlooked narratives of women's lives throughout the 20th century. In 2010, she received the Lorena Gale Woman of Distinction Award from the Union of British Columbia Performers for her advocacy and contributions to elevating women's stories in the arts.
