Elisabetta Pellini

Elisabetta Pellini is a multifaceted Italian actress, director, and screenwriter, born in Sorengo, Switzerland, and raised in Varese, Italy. Coming from a family of artists, she inherited her passion for cinema from her father, Oreste Pellini, a director of cult documentaries such as Africa segreta and Africa ama. The Pellini family also has a notable artistic legacy with sculptors Eugenio and Eros Pellini, associated with the Scapigliatura movement.

Elisabetta began her career as a model before making her debut on television. Among her early appearances are collaborations with Paolo Rossi in Scatafascio, Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo in Mai dire goal, and hosting shows like TG Rosa and Tira e Molla, the latter under the direction of Corrado Mantoni.

Her love for acting led her to build a solid career in both cinema and television. On the big screen, she has worked with many renowned directors, including Neri Parenti (Il cucciolo), Carlo Vanzina (Il cielo in una stanza), Gabriele Salvatores (Denti), Ferzan Ozpetek (Un giorno perfetto), and Sergio Rubini (Mi rifaccio vivo). She has also taken part in productions showcased at prestigious film festivals, such as Non prendere impegni stasera by Gianluca Maria Tavarelli, presented at the Venice Film Festival.

In parallel, Elisabetta has established a strong presence on Italian television, appearing in iconic TV series such as Incantesimo, Un medico in famiglia, Distretto di Polizia, Maresciallo Rocca 3, Elisa di Rivombrosa, Capri, Don Matteo, Provaci ancora prof, Braccialetti rossi, L'allieva, and Le tre rose di Eva. She has also starred in TV movies, including Il paese delle piccole piogge by Sergio Martino, where she plays a doctor involved with Doctors Without Borders, and Un coccodrillo per amico, filmed in Kenya.

Her versatility has also led her to the world of web comedy, with a role in the cult series Forse sono io by Vincenzo Alfieri. In 2021, Elisabetta made her debut as a screenwriter and director with the episode L'amore nonostante tutto from the anthology film Selfiemania, which won several awards for direction, showcasing her sensitivity and talent.

From 2022 to 2024, she co-starred in the international film 21 Rubini, directed by Ciprian Mega, alongside Mickey Rourke and Anthony Delon, starred in the noir Buio come il cuore by Marco De Luca, and was part of the cast of Il monaco che vinse l'apocalisse by Jordan River.

Beyond her acting and directing career, Elisabetta is dedicated to social causes, starring in short films that address sensitive topics like violence against women and rare diseases, such as Anatomia di un amore, directed by Manuela Tempesta, co-written and performed by Pellini, which garnered several awards at Italian festivals.

Her academic background includes a master's degree in directing under the guidance of Gianni Mammolotti. Elisabetta is currently working on the screenplay for the film DNA, in collaboration with Gianni Corsi and produced by Gianluca Cerasola.
