Marc Platt is an acclaimed American producer who has produced high-profile projects across film, television, and theatre, earning numerous awards including Tony Awards, Primetime Emmy Awards, and a BAFTA Award. Known for producing massive musical hits and critically acclaimed films, he is the founder of Marc Platt Productions.

His notable filmography includes producing the blockbuster Wicked (2024-2025), La La Land (2016), Legally Blonde (2001), The Little Mermaid (2023), Cruella (2021), Bridge of Spies (2015), and The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020). Throughout his career, he has earned multiple Academy Award nominations for Best Picture.

In addition to his film work, Platt has produced Broadway productions, most notably the blockbuster musical Wicked, which has run for over two decades. He has also achieved success in television, producing acclaimed live musicals such as Grease Live! (2016) and Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert (2018).Before forming his independent production company, Platt served as president of production for major movie studios, including Orion Pictures, TriStar Pictures, and Universal Studios.
