Biography

Robyn Ross was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, to a Canadian mother and an American father. She began her journey in the arts at the age of three on the runway, and grew up immersed in regional musical theatre while coming of age alongside Vancouver's now-thriving film and television industry. In the 1990s, Robyn lived in New York City, where she studied at the renowned Michael Howard Acting Studios. She welcomed her daughter, Siena Pearl, into the world at Beth Israel Hospital in New York City and having never been married, her daughter remains central to her life. While New York City is her home base, Robyn divides her time between there and her native Vancouver, and has also lived in Los Angeles, Orlando, and Florence, Italy. As an actor, Miss Ross's work has spanned stage and screen. She most recently appeared as Sylvie in Takedown by Claude Solnik at Theatre for the New City in New York, and performed the dual roles of Katherine and Olive in Hotello by Bianca Kenna at The Cultch in Vancouver. She continues to pursue her acting career and will soon be seen as Diane Fraser in the upcoming television series Every Year After (2026), adapted from the New York Times bestselling novel Every Summer After. In the series, she plays the mother of Persephone "Percy" Fraser, portrayed by actress Sadie Soverall. Alongside her performing career, Robyn is a dedicated and sought-after acting coach. She works with clients across a wide range of productions throughout North America, including Los Angeles, New York, Vancouver, Calgary, Utah, and Newfoundland, for networks and platforms such as Netflix, Amazon, Apple TV, Hulu, Epix, CBC, and Hallmark, as well as internationally in the UK, France and Germany. She is regularly invited to be a guest instructor at Shoreline Studios and Langara Film Arts, has taught at New Image College, and has led theatre workshops at Simon Fraser University.

Robyn is also an active creator. She co-wrote The Suicide Club, a two-act play with her longtime collaborator Jennifer Copping (Debris, Devil in Ohio), which is slated for production in 2026. With fellow actor David Kaye (Siren, Ninjago: Dragons Rising), she has also developed a screenplay that is currently optioned, and wrote a children's book to be released in September 2026. In addition to her work as an actor, coach, and writer, Robyn is a well-established makeup artist. Her artistry has been featured in campaigns, publications, and collaborations with renowned photographers and global brands in the fashion and music industries.

Reflecting on her multifaceted career, Robyn often recalls the phrase: "A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one." She believes this to be especially true for those who dedicate their lives to the arts, and considers herself fortunate to explore creativity across multiple disciplines.
