Biography

Now a veteran of commercials, local TV, the Toronto theatre scene and Canadian independent film, Vanessa has been working as a performer and host since the age of twelve. As an award-winning playwright she has had work workshopped and produced in Toronto and NYC. She has also worked in the Canadian music industry in TV property development (Alchemy Productions), promotions (The Orange Record Label) and live events (The Culture Vacuum Studio). While it is no longer her focus, she maintains a love for live performance and multidisciplinary work of all sorts.

She is now focusing on writing and directing film, under the watch of supportive group of teachers and mentors. In her transition to production she has run the gamut of roles, each informing he next: set dresser to assistant director to art director to co-producer to writer to producer to director. She is currently developing a number of TV and feature properties and pi.r.squared productions, a company dedicated to creating original content for hand-held devices.
