Jason Armani Martinez is a Dominican-American actor from Lawrence, Massachusetts. A former football player at the University of New Hampshire, Jason pivoted to acting in his junior year, joining a community theater and booking his first role in Netflix's Spenser Confidential alongside Mark Wahlberg. He was later selected as one of 8 actors from over 1500 submissions for Lena Waithe's Hillman Grad Mentorship Labs.
Jason's training includes years of coaching with Anthony Abeson. His recent work includes starring in American Fiction, Cord Jefferson's Academy Award-winning film, and Aftermath, streaming on Netflix alongside Dylan Sprouse and Dichen Lachman.
He has also wrapped multiple shorts, including one produced by Aristotle Torres, written/directed by Alfonso Morgan Terrero, and another produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda for the Tribeca Film Festival, written/directed by Andrew J. Rodriguez. In addition, Jason stars in and helped produce Cierva, written/directed by Luis G. Santos, starring alongside Alycia Pascual-Pena and Shanel Montano. Jason's versatility continues to shine as he takes on diverse roles in both feature films and independent projects.
