Biography

Ashley Guaragna is a casting director based in Austin, TX, specializing in independent narrative projects. She has a knack for finding talent and connecting filmmakers with outstanding actors. Ashley has a multi-faceted background in the arts, dating back to her childhood in New Orleans LA where she attended the acclaimed New Orleans Center for Creative Arts studying dance and musical theatre. She also earned a BFA from Texas Christian University and an MFA from the University of Florida both in visual arts. Before she discovered her love for casting she exhibited her large scale drawings and paintings, taught art at the college level, and raised two very cool kids.

She formed Ashley Guaragna Casting in 2018 with the goal of providing excellent and efficient casting to indie filmmakers. Ashley is passionate about collaborating with visionary directors and helping them find the right faces and voices to bring their stories to life. She is dedicated to diverse representation in her projects. Ashley has worked on numerous short films as well as features and online commercials and loves being a part of the Austin film community.
