Tristan Taormino, a 1993 Phi Beta Kappa of Wesleyan University (B.A. American Studies), has established herself as a prominent lay sexologist. The former editor of "On Our Backs", the venerable lesbian sex magazine, Taormino has written three books. She also has edited the 12 volumes of the Lambda anthology "Best Lesbian Erotica" and is a sex advice columnist for "The Village Voice".

Taormino has made numerous appearances on TV, including HBO's Real Sex (1990), The Howard Stern Show (1990) and on Fox News. She lectures at universities on gay and lesbian issues, including sexuality, gender and feminism. Taormino also teaches sex and relationship workshops around the world and has private coaching sessions for individuals and couples. She also produces and stars in adult, hardcore sex videos.
