Motomu Toriyama

Motomu Toriyama is a director and writer who has been working for Square Enix since 1994.

He began his career working on cutscenes in Bahamut Lagoon and Final Fantasy VII before being promoted to director during the development of Final Fantasy X. He has since directed Final Fantasy X-2, Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings, Blood of Bahamut, Final Fantasy XIII, Final Fantasy XIII-2, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Mobius Final Fantasy. He has also continued writing for games and has also trained new writers.

He is a member of Square Enix's Business Division 1 and apart of the Final Fantasy Committee.
