Disney+'s Noelle was Shaylee's first acting break, which she truly believed was "a one-time thing because Deaf roles rarely happen." Instead, she proved Hollywood wrong by booking commercials, TV appearances, and films. In 2020, she starred in Netflix's hit Feel the Beat, proving she truly marches to her own beat.
During the pandemic, Shaylee's viral advocacy video pushed Instagram to add captions, changing millions of lives. Then she shattered another ceiling, becoming the first Deaf person credited as a voice-over actress for a signing role with Dreamworks. "To be credited is a huge deal," she declared.
