Biography

Ingrid Samuelsson was a Swedish pioneer in National radio and television. As an employee at the Swedish Radio Service from the early 1930s and during the 1950s as a producer at the Swedish Broadcasting System, she was one of the few women who produced programs for radio and television during its first years. When Swedish Television began its initial program operations in 1954, Ingrid Samuelsson was recruited to study programs regarding consumer information, childcare, general health programs and more. She was one of the directors for home and family programs. "Hemma", with Ria Wägner as host, became a model for family magazine programs far into our days.
