Biography

The Malaysia-born actress Denise Camillia Tan, who has a background in fashion design, got her start as a pageant queen in the 2012 Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant in Malaysia. She was also the first runner-up at the Miss Chinese International Pageant 2013 in Hong Kong. In 2016, Astro hired Denise to coach Miss Astro Chinese International Pageant contestants.

Denise took part in TVB dramas such as Outbound Love (2014) and The Hiddens (2016). In 2019, she landed her first leading role in a supernatural web series, I See You. The same year, she was also cast in four other series: Limited Edition, All Is Well (Taiwan-SG co-production), Hello Miss Driver, and Day Break. Denise received her second leading role in the series Key Witness as an Interpol Officer Xu Guo Ying in 2021.

Apart from acting, Denise has also proved her versatility through her varied hosting projects, which include the dance reality show Astro Battleground 2016, which she co-hosted with Dennis Yin; an amusing food program titled We Are An "Ordinary" Cooking Show; and a star-studded travelogue for the Hong Kong Tourism Board with her co-stars from The Hiddens, and more. Denise was the outdoor host for The Sheng Siong Show, a crowd favorite variety television game show in Singapore, from 2017-2020.

Denise has just won her first Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes awards at Star Awards 2023.
