A Guernsey-born Actor and Screenwriter. Cameron Ashplant has portrayed a variety of characters across genres in a range of independent films, co-leading casts that also included Christopher Eccleston, Mark Gatiss, Paterson Joseph, Tilly Keeper, and Tim McInnerny.
After becoming a member of the National Youth Theatre, he read Human Geography at Durham University where he began his career professionally in theatre. In this time he also presented the 3-part Amazon series 'The Balkans'. In 2021, Cameron declined a scholarship to train at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts In LA, and he instead accepted a string of leading roles in film productions, and moved to London.
Ashplant has appeared in several award winning films from which he received awards from international festivals. He has filmed across Europe, and toured in theatres across the UK, continuing to carve out a reputation as a diverse naturalistic actor, known for morphing himself into several unrecognizable characters.
Cameron has been actively engaged in founding the Institute of Screen Arts Guernsey in his home island. The charity helps to grow the grassroots film scene, attract productions and establish the island as a hub for cinema.
