Biography

Krasimir Kochev is a world vice-champion in freestyle wrestling and third in Europe. Holder of the golden belt 'Dan Kolov' (2003). He twice participated in the Olympic Games, but failed to reach the honors - in Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004. The Petrich-born wrestler is the only competitor in recent history to wrestle in both styles, Greco-Roman and freestyle.

His appearances are more in freestyle wrestling, his debut in the classics ended with 14th place at the European Championships in Sofia (1999). At the second attempt, he still reached the podium of the continental championship in Varna - bronze in 2005.
