Achint Kaur

Achint Kaur, the versatile Indian television and film actress, was born in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, into a Jat Sikh family. Her journey in the entertainment industry has been marked by resilience and talent.

Married at the young age of 18, Achint faced the challenges of life head-on. However, destiny took a turn, leading to her divorce when her son, Preetranjan, was just 5-6 years old. Despite the setbacks, she emerged stronger and ventured into a 16-year-long live-in relationship with actor Mohan Kapoor, which eventually concluded in 2015 after a remarkable 19-year journey together.

Achint Kaur's foray into the world of entertainment began with Zee TV's renowned show "Banegi Apni Baat" in 1994, followed by a pivotal role in "Swabhimaan" (1995) where she portrayed the character of 'Soha.' Her talent transcended television, as she graced the silver screen with notable performances in Bollywood movies like "Om Jai Jagadish," "Corporate," and "Julie."

Recognized for her compelling character-driven roles, Achint Kaur has received numerous accolades, including the ITA Award for "Best Actress in Supporting Role" for her exceptional work in the series "Virrudh." Her journey continued with Zee TV's Punjabi/Gujarati-themed serial "Jamai Raja" (2014 TV series) as of 2014, showcasing her enduring presence in the industry.

Apart from her screen presence, Achint is a seasoned theatre actress, recently shining in the play "Two to Tango, Three to Jive." Her talent knows no boundaries, as she has also showcased her acting prowess in Pakistani television serials.
