Dorte Warnøe Høgh is a highly acclaimed Danish screenwriter, showrunner, and former journalist, recognized as one of Scandinaviaâs most sought-after writers in both drama and crime television. Most recently, she returned as screenwriter on the latest season of Netflixâs global hit series The Chestnut Man, which received significant international acclaim and reached audiences worldwide.
She is also the creator and writer of the critically praised ensemble drama series When the Dust Settles, following eight interconnected characters in the days before and after a terror attack in Copenhagen.
Before becoming a screenwriter, Dorte spent more than a decade working as a journalist and television and radio host. She later graduated from the Danish Film School and quickly established herself as a major writing talent. Her first feature film, The Inheritance, created in collaboration with award-winning director Per Fly, won several international awards. In 2009, she received an Academy Award nomination for the short film The Pig, which she both wrote and directed.
