Gayathri is an actor and filmmaker from Singapore, passionate about storytelling and the performing arts. Since beginning her acting journey in 2017, she has worked across stage plays, student films, indie shorts, web series, and national TV dramas. With a background in Mass Communications and a Master's in Creative Writing, she gained early exposure to production, sparking her interest in filmmaking as well.
In 2020, she wrote, directed, and starred in her first short film, The Illusion, marking a pivotal shift toward directing. Over the years, Gayathri has been fortunate enough to gain invaluable insights and knowledge from the various sets she's been on, gaining a deeper understanding of filmmaking and igniting her desire to pursue filmmaking as well. Gayathri also trained at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, where she continues to grow as both a performer and filmmaker. Her work is shaped by a deep love for performance and a desire to tell meaningful stories that resonate.
