Dave Dewar is a versatile actor and stunt performer with a distinguished background as a former operator in the Canadian Special Forces, where he served for 26 years. This military expertise enables him to infuse his roles with authenticity, charisma, and nuanced depth.
As a stunt performer and stunt actor, Dave has contributed to numerous television series and feature films. His notable stunt work includes appearances across Seasons 1 through 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, where in Season 3 he portrayed a Klingon Zombie who met a memorable demise. As well as performing stunts in the Prime Video series The Terminal List, based on the novel by Jack Carr.
In his acting career, Dave is recognized for his role as the father of the lead character in the Apple TV+ series Witch Mountain. He also starred as the lead in the international co-production Lovers Go Home,filmed in Colombia and Canada. For this project, Dave immersed himself in intensive Spanish language coaching to deliver authentic dialogue in the role.
Dave has also performed combat motion capture for prominent video games, including Red Hood in Gotham Knights, doubling the lead character "Morgan" in Ghost Recon, and serving as tactical advisor while portraying the character "Wilson" in Delta Force.
