Advitya Ray - Actor, Filmmaker and Author

Advitya Ray, born on August 9, 2003, is a passionate Indian actor, filmmaker, and author who was brought up in Nagpur, Maharashtra. From a very young age, Advitya had a deep love for theatre and storytelling, which sparked a journey filled with creativity, hard work, and endless imagination.

His artistic path began in school, where he actively took part in theatre and impressed many with his acting skills. By the age of 15, Advitya was not just acting-he was already writing, directing, and editing his own short films. He also shared his knowledge by teaching acting to his friends, turning simple collaborations into learning experiences for everyone involved.

Determined to grow, he launched his own YouTube channel, RPD Films, where he explored filmmaking and continued to tell stories that mattered to him.

In college, Advitya started a theatre group and quickly gained praise in the theatre world for both his acting and leadership. Later, he moved to Mumbai during the pandemic to chase bigger dreams. There, he joined a theatre school, became an Assistant Director for web series, and acted in short films and music videos.

He went on to work with the NFDC Films Division on the project "A Son of Himalaya" and played a key role in organizing the NFDC Film Bazaar 2023. Always looking to create platforms for other artists, he co-founded A Thespis Theatre Group and A18 Films with Aaditrie Dipika, giving new talent a chance to shine.

Alongside his work in film and theatre, Advitya is also a published author. He has written five gripping novels:

Each book showcases his rich imagination and storytelling depth, earning him a space in the world of literature.

Recently, Advitya has also directed a documentary series titled "A Pending File - Biography of Writer Ranjit Kapoor," adding another dimension to his creative portfolio.
