Adrian Bouchet was born in Rhodesia, but settled in England during the Rhodesian Bush war. He attended The University of Birmingham before studying at the Birmingham Theatre School. After performing in fringe theatre his first TV role came in 1998 in the BBC show, 'Dangerfield'
In his first big feature film he appeared opposite Matthew Goode and Mandy Moore as a muscular German bungee jump instructor before becoming one of the ill fated Antarctic expedition team in Alien vs Predator. He is most widely known as Steapa, the Commander of King Alfred's Household Guard in the BBC and Netflix TV show, 'The Last Kingdom' He also played Porto the Commander of the Praetorian Guard in the Roland Emmerich TV series, 'Those About to Die', about the the lives of those living in the time of the early days of The Colosseum in ancient Rome.
Bouchet is also know to video gamers as Captain Drautos in 'Kingsglaive:Final Fantasy XV' from the 'Final Fantasy' franchise, and was hailed as the 'Breakout star' from the multi award winning 'Kingdom Come:Deliverance 2' for his portrayal of the heroic medieval general, Jan Zizka. Other notable roles in 'Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning', the 'Wheel of Time', 'Strike Back', 'The Fall of the Krays', 'Red Dwarf', 'Coronation Street', 'Mystery Files', 'Art Ache'. 'Monster Island', 'In the Name of Ben-Hur'.
In 2025 he played, Uros, a Serbian Army nationalist in '260 Days', a drama about the experiences of a young boy during the breakup of Yugoslavia, featuring Tim Roth.
