Biography

Randy was born in Gary, Indiana and grew up as a Hoosier in Indiana. The youngest of five boys( Robert, Ronald, Richard, Roger and Randy), he was the son of a chemical engineer father and a stay-at-home mom. From the moment of performing improvisation in his 8th grade drama class, Randy knew performing would be his life long career and pursuit. Moving to Missouri when he was 11, after completing high school Randy attended Lindenwood Colleges, a liberal arts school, received his Bachelors degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville, and his Masters of Fine Arts in Acting and Directing at the University of Missouri, Kansas City while earning his Actors Equity card working for the Missouri Repertory Theatre on campus at UMKC. He then moved to New York in 1985, and worked as a cater waiter on Long Island on the weekends while working the midnight shift as a proofreader of legal documents at Simpson, Thacher, and Bartlett law firm in the Battery section of NY. Working mainly in live theatre on Off-Broadway, in Europe, and at regional theatre across the country, he acted in a series of karaoke videos still shown today in bars across America until his first legitimate TV role in soap operas as an under -5 on All My Children, which led to roles on One Life to Live and his breakthrough part, a Recurring Role on Guiding Light, opposite Morgan England. Upon moving to Arizona in 1990, his real TV series debut was a Guest Starring role opposite Jennifer Hetrick and John De Lancie in the western TV series Young Riders in 1992. Since then Randy has appeared in numerous independent films, commercials, industrial training films for corporations, voice overs, and has performed in over 50 live theatre productions including his one-man show on Barry Goldwater, Mr. Conservative. He has two daughters, Ashley and Alex.
