Aml Ameen is a British actor, writer, and director whose career spans over 20 years across film and television, with a body of work that bridges global studio projects and culturally defining storytelling.
He can currently be seen in a leading role in the Netflix UK series Legends, following a run of standout performances including his portrayal of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in Rustin. His recent work also includes the Netflix limited series A Man in Full, where he starred alongside Jeff Daniels, Diane Lane, and Regina King. He also starred in Dead Shot and received a 2023 Independent Spirit Award nomination for Best Lead Performance for his starring role in The Porter.
Ameen first rose to prominence with his breakout role in Kidulthood, and went on to play series regular Lewis Hardy in the hit drama The Bill.
