Christie Miranda was born and raised in Tarpon Springs, Florida. Her passion for writing took shape during her time on her high school newspaper, The Talon, where she wrote extensively and honed her voice as a young journalist. One of her earliest professional recognitions came from the Poynter Institute for Media Studies, where she spent two summers participating in its young journalists program.
After graduating from high school, Christie moved west to Utah to attend college. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Brigham Young University. Following graduation, she spent several years working in law enforcement before retiring in 2023.
Christie's interest in film grew from a desire to return to her roots in storytelling, writing and acting.
