SĂle Bermingham was born the 7th of 10 children in Dublin, Ireland. Mom, Eileen was an All Ireland Champion Camogie player & Dad, Sean, a west of Ireland man who passed his love of literature & poetry on to SĂle. It was not unusual for her father to bring home musicians, poets, writers & travelers from all walks of life and fill the house with music & story telling. SĂle was bit by the acting bug and began her stage career in Dublin doing fringe theatre & performance art. After a short stint in London where SĂle studied with legendary Acting coach Jack Walzter; SĂle moved to New York. Numerous stage productions followed including Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Loot, The Trial, The Hostage, Dracula, A Touch of the Poet, A Woman of No Importance, Crimes & Crimes, Remembrance, Hitler's Head, Good Bobby - off Broadway & L.A. SĂle works steadily in independent film appearing in the Lionsgate award winning hit Played with a star studded cast including Val Kilmer, Gabriel Byrne, Vinnie Jones, Anthony LaPaglia, the late great Bruno Kirby, Joanne Whalley & Patsy Kensit. Sile followed up Played with the dramatic heist thriller 2:22 where she played the role of Jody. 2:22 received 5 nominations at the Milan International Film Festival and won best film at the Malibu Film Festival. In A Kiss And A Promise directed by Phillip Guzman, SĂle played a grieving mother whose daughter falls victim to a serial killer. In recent indie film Waiting For The Miracle To Come SĂle stars opposite legendary actress Charlotte Rampling & American Icon Willie Nelson. A lover of stories & the spoken word SĂle narrates audio books for authors such as Maeve Binchy, Mark Tomkins, Siobhan Dowd, Andrea Cremer, Joanne Harris, Marian Keyes, Cecelia Ahern and many others etc SĂle is a lifetime member of The Actors Studio in NY & LA. SĂle resides in Los Angeles.
