Karen Thornhill Owen, an American character actress, began a career on stage. Studying vocal performance and pedagogy at Willian Carey University, where earning a Bachelor of Music with a secondary degree in piano and continued graduate studies at University of Southern Mississippi. Taking on leads in operas and musical such as "Trial by Jury" and "Smokey Joes Cafe". Winning the National Association of Teachers of Singing Award 5 times and Performing on the prestigious stages of The Saenger Theatre, the Convention Center in Athens Georgia and Carnegie Hall. Also, spent time touring with a children's opera company, introducing young children to classical music through operettas such as, "Little Red Riding Hood" and "Sid the Serpent Who Wanted to Sing".
After years on stage, interest grew towards film and acting. Working in background was the first step in learning how the film industry worked, then featured and finally, stand in work. Learning how to move on set and take direction, it was an honor being stand in for remarkable stars like Morgan Fairchild, Pamala Reed and more. Finally, through acting classes, audition classes, and cold read class, the fun of booking roles in film and television began. Most notably, "Wisdom of the Dead" and "Dancing With a Murderer", a Lifetime Movie.
