Theo Evan, birth name Evangelos Theodorou, is a talented Cypriot singer-songwriter, dancer, and actor. From a young age, Theo was involved in dance sessions and school choirs, showcasing his passion for performing. He began songwriting in his teens and participated in various theatre productions and talent shows across Cyprus, often earning awards and distinctions for his efforts.
After graduating from The English School in Nicosia, Theo moved to the United States to study music and performance at the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. He graduated with honors and has since been invited back as an honorary guest at the university's graduation ceremony on three occasions, alongside renowned artists such as Missy Elliot, Pharrell Williams, John Legend, and Justin Timberlake.
Theo released his debut single "The Wall" in 2021 and has since built a strong catalogue of singles, including "So Cold" (2022), "Burn Us Down" (2022), "Save Me from Myself" (2023), "Dark Side" (2023), and "The Cost of Losing You" (2024). His music style is described as a blend of Mediterranean pop, infused with dark and gritty tones, complemented by a fresh, contemporary pop fusion.
In 2024, Theo was announced as Cyprus' representative for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Basel, Switzerland. This will be the first time since 2017 that Cyprus is represented by a Cypriot-born artist. Theo's dynamic artistry and global experiences make him a standout talent on the international stage.
