Darla Delgado is an American actress and stunt performer whose career bridges blockbuster
films, television favorites, and heartfelt dramas. She appears in 2 of Director James Gunn’s films-
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 as Neelie, the vampire bat Humanimal, and as Lex Luthor’s
Receptionist Heather in the more recent Superman (2025), as well as the character Odette in Hallmark Channel’s rom-com Hats Off to Love. Television audiences have seen her in fan-favorite shows including Cobra Kai, Walker, and The Resident. A career highlight came when director James Gunn mentioned her in the Director’s Commentary for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 - a nod she treasures as much as the experience of being part of both the Marvel & DC universes.
Darla has also worked as a stunt performer, notably serving as the stunt double for Eva LaRue
(CSI Natalia Boa Vista) on the hit series CSI: Miami.
Born and raised in Tampa, Florida, Darla is a proud fourth-generation Tampanian. Before acting
full-time, she lit up the sidelines as an NFL cheerleader for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1988-
1990) during their iconic "Creamsicle" era. Modeling in the late ’80s and 90’s led to
commercials, and by 2004, acting had become her full-time passion.
Darla holds a degree in Exercise Science from the University of South Florida and sharpened her
craft with acting and improv training in Los Angeles, including at The Second City. Warm,
versatile, and endlessly dedicated to storytelling, Darla continues to bring authenticity and heart
to every project she joins.
