Indraneil Sengupta is an Indian model and film and television actor. He moved to Mumbai to work in the entertainment industry.
Sengupta began his modelling career in the 90s and was one of the finalists in the Gladrags Manhunt Contest in 1999. He went on to appear in brand advertisements for VIP Frenchie, Tata Indigo Marina car, and Aquafina. He also walked on the ramp for
Rohit Bal and worked for choreographers like Achla Sachdev and
Marc RobinsonLater, Sengupta appeared in music videos like Pal Pal Tere Yaad Sataye (2000) by
Falguni Pathak, Chamak Cham Cham by

Sengupta appeared in the horror film
1920 (2008), playing Mohan Kanta, the antagonist. During this time, he also appeared in TV serials like
Maayka: Saath Zindagi Bhar Ka (2007).
He played the lead role of Angshuman opposite
Indrani Haldar in the popular Bengali film
Angshumaner Chhobi (2009), the only Bengali movie to get entry into the Indian Panorama in Goa. He also won the Anandalok Fresh Face of the Year (male) award in 2009 for this movie.
Sengupta went on to feature in Bollywood movies like

Kahaani (2012), as well as Bengali movies like

In 2010, Sengupta starred in the Bengali movie

Uttam Kumar. In 2012, he was featured in the Bengali movie
Aparajita Tumi (2012), playing the role of a young Bangladeshi professor.
From 2015 to 2022, Sengupta appeared in several Bengali, Bangladeshi, Marathi, Hindi, and Telugu movies like

Sengupta won the ITA Award for Idea Glamour Face of the Year Male in 2008 and the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor (Bengali) for
Mishawr Rawhoshyo (2013) in 2014.
