Will Ryder

Will Ryder is an award-winning adult movie director and producer credited with creating the modern porn parody explosion that changed the way adult movies were produced and marketed. Ryder has won dozens of adult industry awards including Best Director, Best Comedy, Best Parody and Director-of-the-Year trophies. His work has influenced numerous directors and producers who followed his lead in the parody genre. Ryder won the 2014 AVN Award for Best Director, the 2014 XBiz Director of the Year-Parody and the 2014 X-Rated Critic's Organization Best Director trophy all for Grease XXX.

Ryder got his start in the adult movie business scoring music back in 1983. In 1986 he began a 15 year career as a touring musician and returned to adult to became one of the top industry publicists representing over a dozen companies including Larry Flynt's Hustler Video and top stars such as Hillary Scott and Sunny Lane. He has directed nearly 200 movies since 2001 including multiple volumes of Barely Legal for Hustler and Britney Rears, a spoof of pop singer Britney Spears, which was the first of the modern porn parodies. However, it was the Brady Bunch spoof Not the Bradys XXX that was the catalyst for the parody movement. His take on creating adult movie parody from history's most popular TV shows and pop figures quickly caught on with audiences worldwide and was followed with top-selling parodies of Bewitched, The Cosby Show, Married with Children, Charlie's Angels, Three's Company, M*A*S*H, The Wizard of Oz, The Three Stooges, Grease and over 40 others. Soon, the entire adult movie industry followed his lead and to date over 1800 parodies have been created by the industry. Since most of his parody movies began with the word Not, his company X-Play was awarded a United States Trademark in 2008 barring any adult company from using the word Not in their title.
