Filmmaking runs in the bloodline of Milind Swamy, a proud third-generation contributor to the Bollywood film industry. His grandfather served as a Production Controller from the 1950s until his passing, during the formative years of Indian cinema. His father began his journey in 1965, starting from the ground up as a carpenter in the art department. Through years of dedication, he rose steadily to become an Art Director in the 1980s, a role he held with distinction until his passing. Continuing this legacy, Milind Swamy began his own career in 1991 as an Assistant Director. Gaining experience across departments, he started working as a freelance Director from 2004, directing various projects across genres. In 2013, he expanded his vision internationally by establishing GV9 Films Production in Canada. Since then, he has been actively producing and directing films in both Canada and Bollywood, building a cross-cultural body of work that blends Indian storytelling with global cinematic language. With over three decades of experience, Milind Swamy has emerged as a versatile and respected filmmaker, known for his commitment to realistic storytelling, technical mastery, and meaningful cinema that bridges borders.
