Joanne Rose is an award-winning Australian-American screenwriter and producer, and founder of Sweetest Pit Bull Productions. She has a knack for writing underdog characters across multiple genres.
Based in both Los Angeles and London, she is a member of the Writers' Guild of Great Britain, Australian Writers' Guild, and the British Film Institute. Additionally, she's also a writer at The Royal Court Theatre's Writers' Card play writing community in London.
Joanne's work has been recognized internationally, including a Best Feature Screenplay Finalist Award in the UK from The Golden Script Competition for 'Sex, Drugs & Crow's Feet' which was also a nominee at the New Media Film Festival in Los Angeles. Additionally, her feature film script 'You Had Me At Aloha' won an Aloha Accolade Award at the Honolulu Film Awards. She also received an Official Finalist Awards for her TV pilot script 'Life of Groupies' at both the Hollywood Screenplay Contest and the Beverly Hills Screenplay Contest.
Several of short film scripts, 'Be Careful What You Ask For', 'The Magic Mirror,' and 'Hypnagogia' earned their place on The Red List, ranking as top-rated scripts on Coverfly, the industry's largest talent-screenwriter platform in the US.
